The healthy range for your pet, not for “dogs”

Breed ranges are checked against breed standards and veterinary sources, split by sex and life stage, with month-by-month growth curves for puppies. When the weight is right, it says so and counts how long it has stayed right.

A weight goal that’s kind to your pet

If your pet is a little over, PetTrackr suggests the nearest healthy goal, plans the calories around it and checks the pace with every weigh-in, warning if a cat is losing too fast. It asks you to feel your pet’s ribs before suggesting anything, because your hands know things a scale doesn’t.

Calories from a photo of the bowl

Measure your bowl once, then snap the food at an angle. PetTrackr estimates the portion and calories using your own food’s label.

  • A daily calorie ring
  • Feeding schedule with meals that tick off
  • Food bags that predict when they’ll run out

PetTrackr helps you keep track. It is not veterinary advice: if your pet seems unwell, call your vet.

Questions people ask

Where do the healthy weight ranges come from?
Each breed range is drafted from breed standards and veterinary sources, then checked against published figures before it is used. You can browse them in our breed weight charts.
How does PetTrackr work out how many calories my pet needs?
With the standard veterinary formula: resting energy needs from body weight, adjusted for life stage and activity. Try it in our free dog and cat calorie calculators. If your vet gave you a number, type it in and PetTrackr uses yours.
Is the bowl scan accurate?
It is an estimate. When it isn’t confident it shows a range rather than one number, and it gets better as you correct it, because it learns your food’s calories from your own log.
